Another new venue for Cleverley Fisheries in 2009 is Boyton Cross. It is a mature 4.5 acre gravel pit just outside Chelmsford and is home to some of the nicest looking carp I've ever seen. They range from doubles up to over 30lbs and believe me when I say, these fish can fight!

The lake used to be run by a local Angling Club but, unfortunately, the club had to close and the lake became available. It is already in a fishable state but I plan to thin the stock out over the Spring and Summer to allow the better fish to push on weight-wise. It is another venue with massive potential and will be a very sought after ticket in the near future. I have already added extra fish from one of the stock ponds up to 34lbs.

Night fishing is only allowed between the months of March and October. From November until the end of February, fishing is from 6am until 10pm only. The electric gates automatically shut at that time.
