Getting There: From Waltham Abbey, Crooked Mile roundabout, take the exit onto Parklands and continue for half a mile then left into Galley Hill. After about 2 miles join Claverhambury Road. Go past the dog kennels and pet cemetery down the hill and the fishery is a further 200yds on the left.
Claverhambury Carp Lakes includes two coarse fishing lakes on farmland, one for match & pleasure, the other for specialist carp anglers.
The Match Lake is open with depths to 20 feet near the car park and shallows towards the far end, with a central channel. It's about 2.5 acres in area. Half the stock is Carp from 2 to 7lb,with fish to 23lb. Match and pleasure weights can run into treble figures.
The Top lake contains Carp to 20lb plus with lots of doubles.
