Seventy acre and Langdridge:cemex Empty
PostSubject: Seventy acre and Langdridge:cemex   Seventy acre and Langdridge:cemex I_icon_minitimeFri Jul 31, 2009 11:13 am

LOCATION: Stubbins Hall Lane, Waltham Abbey, Essex. EN9 2EE

SIZE: Lake 1: 65 acres.

Lake 2: 68 acres.

At Fishers Green the two lakes known as Seventy Acre and Hollyfield (also known as Langridge) are partly an unknown quantity to both pleasure and specimen anglers. The captures of huge carp over 40lb, plus bream and tench exceeding 16lb and 14lb respectively, shows the possible potential for the dedicated angler.

These lakes are classed as hard, but for the angler wishing to make a splash in the specimen world, this is the place. The Drennan Cup winner last year fished these two lakes in his time down there.

Big pike are also present and the usual methods and baits work well, athough, like most difficult venues, doing something a little different seems to work well.
