SIZE: Lake 1: 3 acres.
Lake 2: 5 acres.
Amwell comprises two of the most intimate and picturesque waters in the entire Lea Valley. With its mature and idyllic surroundings this peaceful venue offers immaculate big fish, all in top fighting trim.
Lake One
This lake has stacks of carp to well over 25lbs. These are a hand-picked mix of Sutton strain and Fishers Pond combined with the originals, making this lake the slightly easier fishing of the two.
This year has seen the introduction of a further 3 common carp to 27.08lb boosting the stocks of commons and adding target fish to this water.
Lake One is generally second choice for the anglers at this venue, ensuring that the lake is very quiet and enables the angler to explore and stalk his or her fish which come very close in on this site.
Lake Two
In Lake Two, a lot of the younger fish are piling on the weight and are beginning to push the more headline fish down the ranks.
The Silver Common 37lbs 2oz, plus a good number of back-up fish of over 30lbs, makes this a venue to watch.
