FISHING
Fishers Green is renowned as a barbel and chub angler’s paradise. The Old River Lea offers river angling of the highest possible quality with a large head of barbell present in this stretch with a good proportion of doublefigure specimens to fish nearing 16lb. The chub fishing on both the river and Relief Channel is also superb withnumerous 5lb+ fish with the occasional monster topping 7 or maybe even 8lb. Carp are also present with commons to over 30lb and mirrors to over 40lb. Large bream, tench and perch are also present. The lakes at Fishers Green are partly an unknown quantity to both pleasure and specimen anglers. The captures of huge carp over 40lb, plus bream and tench exceeding 16lb and 14lb respectively, shows the possibility of more big fish captures.
