Ashley is a picturesque 16.5 acre mature gravel pit. There are a host of underwater features in every swim including gravel bars, plateaus, gullies, weed beds and islands. The swims on the lake are large, formal and constructed to a very high standard.
Permit Day and Night only
Price (£) Adult 117.50
Price (£) Concessions N/A
Max No. Rods 3
Open all year Yes

Species
Primarily a Carp fishery, however Pike, Tench and Bream are present. Since being launched in 2001, Ashley has been stocked exclusively with fast growing Fishers Pond strain Carp. Many of these fish are expected to exceed the 30lb mark by Summer 2009.

Hotspot
Watercraft and fish location is the key. All of the typical gravel pit features should produce fish.

Tips
The stocked fish should respond well to pellets. Beds of these fished with good quality boilies over the top should bring action. Fish are often seen on the surface during the summer months, therefore floater fishing could provide some exciting sport.

Restrictions
Three rods maximum.

Permits
Due to the SSSI designation Ashley is managed as a limited member Day/Night Season Permit fishery therefore a waiting list is in operation for this venue.
