LOCATION: Scraley Road, Maldon, Essex. CM9 8JA

SIZE: Lake 1: 1.25 acres.

Lake 2: 7.5 acres.

Two Lakes holding a variety of fish with bream, crucian carp, tench, roach and carp, the latter being the main target for most anglers as specimens reach 30lb+. A general match or specimen approach to this pretty water will produce results for those putting in time on the venue.

Lake 1

Smaller of the two, this lake is noted for tench and crucian carp and the occasional common carp. Bream, roach and rudd are also present. Due to its size it is particularly suited to the float angler, with the best baits being worm, maggot, caster and corn.

Lake 2

An up-and-coming carp fishery with fish now exceeding 30lb backed with a good number of doubles. This venue also holds good stocks of other coarse fish such as bream, roach and tench.

A good winter water, always liked by the more well known anglers who need to catch for magazine features.

A good water to fish method feeders as the carp start to pack on weight towards the autumn, although PVA sticks and pellet-filled bags take a great many fish. Why not come down and explore the fishing and enjoy a day of peace and quiet in stunning, wildlife-filled surroundings.
